1st Shift Trailer Repair Technician

Location: Mid States Utility Trailer Sales Inc Sioux Falls SD

We are growing! Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales, Inc., one of the largest semi-trailer dealers in the U.S. today, is seeking experienced, talented, customer service oriented trailer repair service technicians to join our 1st shift team in Sioux Falls. Candidates with skilled experience from related fields and military veterans with mechanical experience are encouraged to apply.

The trailer repair service technician will service and repair semi-trailers, including brakes, lights, seals and general maintenance to meet minimum DOT standards.  Additional duties include replacing flooring, rub rails, doors and door trim, repairs to roofs, panels, nose panels and upper rails. Must be experienced in welding, electrical, fabrication, sheet metal and mechanical. Technicians must supply their own tools however those without are still encouraged to apply.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record, previous experience, fork-lift operation, ability to lift products generally less than 100 lbs on a non-regular basis. Post offer pre-employment physical and drug test required.

CDL Class A DRIVER

Location: Keizer Trailer Sales Inc. Sioux Falls SD

Keizer Trailer Sales, Inc. of South Dakota needs drivers to move new trailers from the Utility manufacturing plants in Virginia, Arkansas and Utah to our Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales, Inc. dealerships in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota, plus other points in the United States.

We offer new equipment for our drivers to use, as well as a competitive wage and benefit package. New hires are eligible for a $2,000 sign on bonus!! Drivers are home weekly (varied days).

Requirements:

• Applicants must have 2 years verifiable experience or verifiable training from an accredited truck driving school
• Completion of Driver application process
• Satisfactory driving record for past 3 years
• Must be available to work varied locations, days and hours as assigned by Dispatch
• Pass a post offer pre-employment DOT physical, alcohol and drug test

Entry Level Trailer Repair Technician

The entry level trailer repair service technician will perform general labor work on used semi-trailers such as decal removal, as well as light mechanical service including checking brakes, lights, and general maintenance to meet minimum DOT standards and ready the trailer for sale.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record, previous experience, ability to lift products generally less than 75 lbs. on a non-regular basis. Post offer pre-employment physical and drug test required.

Trailer Service Technician - Omaha location

Location: Mid States Utility Trailer Sales Inc. Omaha NE

We are expanding our service department and have immediate openings for experienced trailer mechanics at our Omaha location for the 2nd shift. We offer a 4 day work week on 2nd shift. Hours are Tuesday – Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales, Inc. is one of the largest semitrailer dealers in the U.S. today with four locations in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. We serve thousands of customers, both in and traveling through the Midwest, through our dealerships in Omaha, NE, Sioux City, IA, Des Moines, IA and Sioux Falls, SD.

Essential duties include:

• Service and repair trailers, including brakes, lights, seals and general maintenance.
• Inspection of trailers per DOT specs
• Drive service truck as required to shag trailers in/out of facility for service or sales.
• Ability to lift products, generally less than 100 lbs.
• Operate a forklift. and use a power washer.
• Process paperwork and ability to read and understand new service bulletins, instructions and written reports.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Experience in fabrication, welding, electrical, sheet metal and mechanical is preferred. A high school degree or equivalent, as well as a valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record is required. Class A CDL is a plus. Trailer Mechanics must provide their own hand tools. Post offer pre-employment physical and drug test required.
